Happy Birthday mumm

THURSDAY 19 FEB is my lovely mummy's birthday~!! Happy Birthday Mum!! Had an awesome day with my mummy!! =) Well, sometimes when a woman tells you its okay not to celebrate her birthday, it is a lie. C'mon, all of us want to be remembered and appreciated. I was nearly tricked by her gesture. Thank God for the reminder.

Our family decided to bring the BEST MUM to celebrate her birthday at Bugis because ah loo wanted to buy his shoes, lol. We had ayam penyet which what happened to be weekiat's favorite~!! I bought her a nice blue rose, a nice birthday card with the melody, folded 2 $50 hearts and place inside the card, followed by a mini chocoloate cake. She was overjoyed~!! hahha Not at the cake, nor at the flowers, not specifically at the card but at the 2 hearts. LOL. She didn't see it at first. Smiles. That won her over. Guess recently she has been really very worried about the side effects of the medicine that she has taken. The wish she has made was to have good health. I stand believing together with her for Longevity and divine health.

It was a simple weekday dinner but i truly enjoyed it. Smiles.

Thank you for being such a great mum all these year to me. You never fail to care. Sometimes I really wonder where does all your care, love and energy comes from. Then i termed those as under unconditional. On this special day, I just wanna say I really appreciate you I love you.

Information

Unhappiness in relationships, according to Dr. Gary Chapman, is often due to the fact that we speak different love languages. Sometimes we don't understand our partner's requirements, or even our own. We all have a "love tank" that needs to be filled in order for us to express love to others, but there are different means by which our tank can be filled, and there are different ways that we can express love to others.

Valentine's day!

Today is Valentine day.. Sweet valentine.
Every where you go you see girls/guys holding bouquets of flowers, isn't that lovely. On my way to church, I met up with some of my members and He Yong. And he gives all of the girls a stalk of rose. Thats really nice. Girls love flowers, and I am one of them too! Today's service is really very touching. As pastor continues previous sermon on Romance, Man & Woman's needs, he begins sharing the other two needs of the both Gender.
For Woman:

  1. Affection
  2. Conversation
  3. Honest & Openness
  4. (next week)
  5. (next week)

For Man:

  1. Sexual fulfillment
  2. Recreational
  3. Physical attraction
  4. (next week)
  5. (next week)
Making marriage works involve commitment, hardwork and also making the conscious effort to meet the needs of your spouse. For both gender, the area of needs are totally different. For the ladies, we are more AUDIO. We need people to listen to us talk, speak words of encouragement to us. For the man, they are VISUAL creatures. The message was really great. YOU need to hear the message, serious. Its essential!!

At the point in time, I started to ponder and question about my perception of having a perfect marriage in the future. I guess I have painted a irrealistic picture of marriage, thinking that there will not be any problems. Oh well, for now, I would say, it takes effort to MAKE marriage work. First year will be the honey moon season, but as the years go by, many of the couples are just starting to get frustrated with one another. I pray that next time I will be in love with my spouse more and more each day ! :) Just like Pastor & Sun! Today as the married couples renewed their wedding vow, I felt so touched. :) Yet, I am thankful that being single has a huge amount of freedom to do anything too. There is a freedom that attached people don't have, and I have it with me now. I can do whatever I like now, and don't need to consider the feelings of another person for wad I do. Not saying that I want to take on celibacy, its just that I am not jealous at the couples but contented at where I am now. Of course, I want to find the right partner this year. smiles! =) Not anxious, at the right time it will come.

Its a short Saturday! =) Well, I am dated by the loviest people on earth, my parents. smiles. I really enjoyed myself today. We went to HaiKo Restaurant to eat Jap food. First time eating sashimi..man.. its gross. lols. Virgin trial. My mind and time were more coope up with work, pm, cg, that I seldom have a lot of time to rot and slack with my parents. Thank God for this day when I can just enjoy the lovely dinner with them. $320 meal. hahah I offered to pay but Dad foot the bill. Well, all of us truly enjoyed this day. Vday has an extra meaning to it today when you spend it with people you love the most. True?

love

A group of professional people posed this question to a group of 4 to 8 year-olds, "What does love mean?" The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined. See what you think:

"When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her all even when his hands got arthritis, too. That's Love."
Rebecca - age 8

"When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different. You just know that your name is safe in their mouth."
Billy - age 4

"Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other."
Karl - age 5

"Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your French Fries without making them give you any of theirs."
Chrissy - age 6

"Love is what makes you smile when you're tired."
Terri - age 4

"Love is when my mommy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip before giving it to him, to make sure the taste is OK."
Danny - age 7

"Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired of kissing, you still want to be together and you talk more. My Mommy and Daddy are like that. They look gross when they kiss."
Emily - age 8

"Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen."
Bobby - age 7 (Wow!)

"If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend who you hate."
Nikka - age 6

"Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears iteveryday."
Noelle - age 7

"Love is like a little old woman and a little old man who are still friends even after they know each other so well."
Tommy - age 6

"During my piano recital, I was on a stage and I was scared. I looked at all the people watching me and saw my daddy waving and smiling. He was the only one doing that. I wasn't scared anymore."
Cindy - age 8

"My mommy loves me more than anybody. You don't see anyone else kissing me to sleep at night."
Clare - age 6

"Love is when Mommy gives Daddy the best piece of chicken."
Elaine-age 5

"Love is when Mommy sees Daddy smelly and sweaty and still says he is handsomer than Robert Redford."
Chris - age 7

"Love is when your puppy licks your face even after you left him alone all day."
Mary Ann - age 4

"I know my older sister loves me because she gives me all her oldclothes and has to go out and buy new ones."
Lauren - age 4

"When you love somebody, your eyelashes go up and down and little stars come out of you"
Karen - age 7

"Love is when Mommy sees Daddy on the toilet and she doesn't think it's gross."
Mark - age 6

"You really shouldn't say 'I love you' unless you mean it. But if you mean it, you should say it a lot. People forget."
Jessica - age 8

And the final one -- Author and lecturer Leo Buscaglia once talked about contest he was asked to judge. The purpose of the contest was to find the most caring child. (Now this will melt your heart.) The winner was a four year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife. Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman's yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there. When his Mother asked him what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy said, "Nothing, I just helped him cry."
