My New found friends

Today marks the end of Jiesen's stay in our company. Congrats Jiesen. We will miss you!
One less buddy in my company. One thing I am really very thankful to God for, its the colleagues, another name for them are friends. I don't like calling them colleagues, because we really mix well together. Probably its because of the same age group, or probably because of the similar personality that allows us to click well. I just love every one of them, just them.

Most of them were strongly encouraging me to find a new job, while I still feel that I should stay there. It must be for a reason. I wonder is that because I have entered into my comfort zone or is there really a reason to stay.

I love spending time with them. Some how all of them seemed to really display who they really genuinely are, no need to guard against them. They will give you the most sincere respond. I wonder what if when I change into a new environment, can I still find friends like them. LOL. Just a passing thought. Smiles.

Finding a need to meet, finding a hurt to heal

Many asked why the nick on msn...
"Finding a need to meet, finding a hurt to heal"
As easy as is said, it takes a lot of love and patience to do there. Ain't it true?
Will you still love when the person is not easy to? Will you still forgive if he/she seemed to have flaws that you can't take? How about this... Will you still love if he/she betrays you or cheated you time and time again?

As a human, its not easy.
I was just asking God on my way back from the tuition trip on Mon. Refering to a person I met recently... someone I find not easy to love. How to love when I don't know how to love... On the other hand, I was apprehensive of becoming loveless.
The Holy Spirit reminded me of Apostle John as my eyes fell on his name written on the bible. Recalling that he used to be known as the son of thunder, with terrible temper and great impatience. What made him become the Apostle of LOVE in the end? The answer shocked me. It was his encounter with Jesus.
He must have seen how Jesus loves and he himself was touched.
He must have seenthe way He forgave the adulterer, Mary Magdalene.
He must have seen the way He reached out his hand to touch and heal the leper when touching him means more than healing but acceptance.
He must have seen the way He forgives Peter for denying Him 3 times.
He must have seen Him washing the feet of the disciples including the one who have betrayed Him.
He must have seen His compassion for the lost and the weary.
He must have seen all these....
He must have seen Jesus choosing the cross.
How to make disciples?
Matt28:19-20. They must have all seen it, that was why they had decided to lay down the life for this course. All the 12 disciples laid down their life. Peter was crucified upside down. Paul, though not one of the 12, was persecuted to the very end; was beheaded. Stephen stoned to death. James the Less and his brother were beheaded for the gospel sake. Philip was imprisioned and crucified. Bartholomew was cruelly tortured and crucified. Luke was hung on a tree in Greece. Andrew was crucified. James (the Great) was thrown into a pot of hot oil and killed. Thomas was killed by the pagan priests using a spear.

No longer I but Christ in me. Gal 2:20

Marriage-a sacred covenant.

This week Pst Tan continued to share about the series of romance and marriage. Man was originally meant to have both the characteristics of woman and man initially before eve was formed; before the side was removed out of Adam to found a woman. Before Eve was formed out of Adam’s side, he was totally self sufficient. He has both the woman’s and the man’s characteristic.

When a man and a woman come together in a marriage, they become one. Not just sexually, but also in one spirit. Why did God choose to take the rib out of Adam that he needs Eve in order to become whole again. The reason is because oneness no longer comes naturally but it comes by choice.

Making marriage comes by a choice. Bible says do not let not anyone separate what God has brought together. The reason why a marriage is sacred it’s because when a man and a woman are together in a marriage and a covenant, the will of the Lord exist. This is clearly explained using the Hebrew characters of man and woman, in which if you combine the two you get “Yah” which means “The will of the Lord in the land of the living”. Satan seeks to destroy marriages because the will of God lies within a married couple when they are of one spirit and one mind; and there is powerful in agreement when both agreed together.

Some out of temporal pleasure and satisfaction decides to walk into an affair unknowingly. It didn’t start out with the “Let’s start an affair”, most identified that they do not know why they have ended up this way. I will account that to the individual needs not met. When the needs go unmet, together with the failure to care and protect the marriage, it then becomes vulnerable to temptation. Some gave in to the temptation and forsook the responsibility that one has.

Personal view: If you know that he/she is already married, and their marriage is already seemingly not doing very well, why would you want to come in between and add salt to the wound? Our temporal pleasure or comfort can be happiness to the ones enjoying it but pain to the ones not. Trust lost takes a lot to be won back.

A marriage means there is exclusive rights given to the special someone to meet the need. Nobody else. :)

ATHALIA shall be your name

Woww.. finally after a long along while I have the chance to sit down to blog for the happenings for the past one month~!!
I just want to start of by thanking God for the multiple blessings upon blessings I received so far~!!
1. A BIG jewellery box & A huge heart shape cookie fr Jess for my belated xmas present
2. A pair of earrings for my baptism fr Jess
3. A sweet little lamb fr Jo for my baptism
4. A book (His Needs Her Needs) and a sunflower fr my CG N282 for my baptism
5. A bouquet of flowers fr Ah Lu for my baptism
6. A cute bean softoy fr Angela for my baptism
7. A kinder surprise egg fr Cass & Dav for my baptism
8. A sea shell windchime fr Kunwu fr his holiday trip to PangKor
9. A Polo shirt fr my parents fr their Batam trip

I guess the BIGGest Blessing I ever ever had is being able to be baptized after so long. This is definitely something that I have been praying for and fasting for. Smiles. Thank God for that. Baptism not merely an event but it signifies the burial and the resurrection together with Jesus. SO thats a major breakthrough, and if you guys have been following the previous blogskin, it was one of the wishlist and it came to pass~!! Praise GOD...

As we were worshipping the Lord before my baptism, streams of tears just flowed down, because I remembered the times when I wanted so badly to be baptized and I was scolded. Now it all happened. Wendy, Hui Mei, Jing, Jess, Lilian, not forgetting Zhen Ying has been really encouraging me on this. Thanks guys~! I appreciate you all alot alot.
The irritating colleagues teased me for the name, namely RTCS AND LKK. *bites. fancy calling me Nutella. I hate that!!!!!.
ATHALIA-- God be praised.
Yes, in all things I will blessed the Lord.

GUESS wad!! I have closed the 32K deal from NYP... Its the sale of a powder characterization machine, which is really a great motivation from God. Well, I guess the commission is not going to excite me given the prior knowledge of how commission and incentives are delayed and denied. But I just want to thank God for encouraging me with this. That makes hitting the targets less stressful~! =)OH YA~!! Last week I had a great dinner with Dav & Cass at Billy Bombers! Nice fellowship. They are really nice people! Hmm.. I guess we really need friends like them to help us lift up one another burdens and lighten our load. I am appreciative of them to take the special effort to celebrate my bapt. Not forgetting my beloved N282 and N423, they are the BEST!! They really make me feel very very very loved. There is none like them...smiles I LOVE YOU GUYS!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!!!!!!!!!!!!! 52 YEARS OLD wheeeeehee

Daddy's celebration started 3 days before his actual birthday...
Do we look like him? =) muahahha Spot the common!! (Yupp!! OUR CUTE NOSE) Mum always say our noses are like Dad's so big. I think its lovely. HAhah Ah Ma too got the same big nose. Well Big nose people are generous, don't they! =)

My mini family =)
We meant Set Yen that day at Jumbo. She is so nice!! =) Should meet up with her more.. hahaha

They have the Mother & Son look , do they?
Last but not the least, the sweet sweet couple of the year~!!

Since Dad's love language is acts of service. I treated him breakfast on Monday, handmade breakfast for him on Tuesday!! Nice yeah?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY !! YOU ARE 52 THIS YEAR!! Thats my beloved Dad!!

Last week I got the both of them a polo stripe shirt fr EverLast =) Smiles. I made a smart guess. My mum is easily pleased when you give her something she wants... She is not happy with flowers and cake.. My Dad is different, he is pleased when mummy is pleased (awwwww...) He is pleased when he knows we puts in effort to celebrate for him, and he appreciate cards~!! Therefore I got hi a card, a couple polo tee. Smiles. I think I have succeeded. We had a simple celebration once again on the actual day (Tuesday) and thank God Martin let me off earlier from the WebEx. We had pizza and wings!! Yum Yum!!

I am amazed at the strong love for one another between the two. Chang(2) Xiang(1) Si(1) Shou(3) .. is this the idiom you use to describe couples who are loving and devoted to one another. Marriage is a commitment when you really want to love the person more each day. Despite the differences, you will make it up with all that you can. Someone said, the spaces of your fingers are created for someone's elses to fit them in perfectly. I guess that sums up the marriage.

Last but not least got to thank my sweet lovely friend, Lilian for sacrificing her time to shop with me!! =) Oh ya.. didn't blog about our steamboat outing 2 weeks ago.. Mr Luo refused to go because KUNWU wasn't there.. LOL. faints.
