Many asked why the nick on msn...
"Finding a need to meet, finding a hurt to heal"
As easy as is said, it takes a lot of love and patience to do there. Ain't it true?
Will you still love when the person is not easy to? Will you still forgive if he/she seemed to have flaws that you can't take? How about this... Will you still love if he/she betrays you or cheated you time and time again?
As a human, its not easy.
I was just asking God on my way back from the tuition trip on Mon. Refering to a person I met recently... someone I find not easy to love. How to love when I don't know how to love... On the other hand, I was apprehensive of becoming loveless.
The Holy Spirit reminded me of Apostle John as my eyes fell on his name written on the bible. Recalling that he used to be known as the son of thunder, with terrible temper and great impatience. What made him become the Apostle of LOVE in the end? The answer shocked me. It was his encounter with Jesus.
He must have seen how Jesus loves and he himself was touched.
He must have seenthe way He forgave the adulterer, Mary Magdalene.
He must have seen the way He reached out his hand to touch and heal the leper when touching him means more than healing but acceptance.
He must have seen the way He forgives Peter for denying Him 3 times.
He must have seen Him washing the feet of the disciples including the one who have betrayed Him.
He must have seen His compassion for the lost and the weary.
He must have seen all these....
He must have seen Jesus choosing the cross.
How to make disciples?
Matt28:19-20. They must have all seen it, that was why they had decided to lay down the life for this course. All the 12 disciples laid down their life. Peter was crucified upside down. Paul, though not one of the 12, was persecuted to the very end; was beheaded. Stephen stoned to death. James the Less and his brother were beheaded for the gospel sake. Philip was imprisioned and crucified. Bartholomew was cruelly tortured and crucified. Luke was hung on a tree in Greece. Andrew was crucified. James (the Great) was thrown into a pot of hot oil and killed. Thomas was killed by the pagan priests using a spear.
No longer I but Christ in me. Gal 2:20
